Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of that search. When you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited data supports site operation, fault diagnosis, traffic measurement, and content improvements. We neither sell lists of visitors nor create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides. Public records held by Indiana agencies remain subject to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, and any more specific confidentiality law.
Who Processes Information
Hosting and support vendors process ordinary logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising services may receive the automatic information already described. Information may also be disclosed when binding legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Indiana's Consumer Data Protection Act, IC 24-15, gives qualifying consumers rights concerning data held by covered businesses, including access, correction, and deletion rights subject to exemptions. Because we retain very little, a request generally means checking contact mail and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Indiana public agencies are outside IC 24-15, and records held by state, Marion County, or Indianapolis offices remain under the custodian's control.
Policy Revisions
Revised terms will appear here. Continued use after publication of a revision signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
